Expectations of recovery and protection of trade transactions via the Internet with the activation of the electronic signature law


Experts of Information Technology, businessmen and Egyptian officials, a noticeable recovery in the e-commerce transactions and investment services, to be submitted through e-government, following the activation of the electronic signature law, which enabled this decision was issued this week, as well as a specialized body for the development of the IT industry. 

As according to experts, the new law will give legal argument to any document issued by the Internet and be recognized before the courts, and pointed out that the application would be in all transactions, government administrative services, investors and businessmen, such as the various permits and customs services, tax and e-commerce transactions, such as buying and selling and import and export, and the establishment of new companies, trading in the stock market, and banking transactions of all kinds, which would give e-commerce and significant impact, and allows to bypass many obstacles and impediments which have hampered the traditional trade and prevent their growth. 

These experts confirmed that the increased base of computer users and Internet users and the interest of businessmen in Egypt and Arab countries to enter information technology in their dealings, will contribute to the recovery of trade through the Internet, especially that the new law provided a large part of the protection of this trade and give them legal status. 

And Mohammed al-Masri, vice president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said the terms of the new law will open up through e-commerce merchants to Egypt, who were reluctant to engage in this kind of advanced trade, because of fear of fraud and forgery, adding that the law provided a safe and legal transfer documents and the signing of export and import contracts, and the conclusion of transactions between the parties, without the need for travel and wasted time and effort. He expected to receive the Egyptian e-commerce concern men and Egyptian business organizations during the coming period, which will reflect positively on the dealings of the trade, which is still according to statistics from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, modest, and noted that the participation of business organizations in the formulation and discuss the terms of the law will make the most of this law in the rehabilitation of trade exchange between Egypt and exporters and importers.
